The Parallel Thought

You started with one, colonized an islet,
Then, conquered a bigger part and hastened that pound
You've climbed up too and made yourself
Comfortable in the thinking chamber

N now all I do is think
About the trees, the birds, the sun
About love, life and beauty
I think of you, I think of you

When I'm up, you're the first,
When I lay, you're the last,
And in between falling and waking,
And wakefulness until I fall

You play best friend to my thoughts
Keep them company
Even if they don't talk
You're by their side, you coexist

I tried to run, to hide myself
I tried to tame, to fool my self
I sighed, embraced, when all else failed
For you had conquered yet another part of me

But now all I do is think
About the trees, the birds, the sun
About love, life and beauty
I think of you, I think of you
