Symphony

A glimpse of you, I catch
And begins a resonation
Of that tingling melody
The fluttering, the sensation


I try to keep my cool
Save my gaze, from being caught by a dancing eye
I surrender to the urge, but in peripheral view,
In this admiration, I revel on the sly


I find my place, fit in
As the night unfurls, so do souls around
Through the frolic and laughter, the light banter
I rummage, to hear a sound


And there, your lips, they part to allow
A flow of that beautiful voice
That's moulded into carefully chosen words that I missed
For I was lost, I had no choice

Mimosa

Like a painting that narrates
Without saying a word
Your eyes express bountiful emotions
Of which, none from you, have I heard


Let down your guard
With every revelation
You take a chance
Let go of all protection


And as you stand uncovered
Bold, against a savage thunderstorm
I wish I could be the blanket
To help you keep warm


But maybe, safe distance, is safe
For I lack the power to aid
Perhaps, you're meant to brave this alone
But, should you embrace your core, you'll soon lead the parade

Look into my eyes

Each moment festered a spark in my heart
Each day, it grew stronger, this feeling


I know the truth, love bites
It takes every bit of you

For I know more...love heals too


The littlest of their joys, they amplify yours
The smallest of fears, evaporate
Our vision turns rose-tinted
The world around, seems less filled with hate


That love, the kind that elevates
Where the lover wants to serve love better

That injects tints and hues into a dying grey

A cold wave fills the air outside
