The Plea

This heart, it has yearned for your sound
To match its rhythm, and dance
This mind is losing ground
For it wants, again, to lose in that trance

These arms, a new felt warmth, they've found
These lips, a pair to paint love on
This soul, another, to revel in love with,
From dusk to dawn

Stay here, won't you stay a little longer?
Each time, as I get a little taste of you,
The thirst, it gets a little stronger
Stay here, wrapped in my arms
Stay near, let me live in your warmth
Just a little longer...until I'm stronger...

Another couple ticks on the clock
And a ride to lead you home
And the mundane life shall take over
While we engage with a million, we'll be alone

Know that while a million little thoughts
Fill my head, some come and some go
There's the thought of you, that'll occupy
A permanent seat and ride solo

And though, on my own, I'll be just fine
Content in my own company
You will occupy my mind
I'll be swinging to your symphony

Stay here, won't you stay a little longer?
Each time, as I get a little taste of you,
The thirst, it gets a little stronger
Stay here, wrapped in my arms
Stay near, let me live in your warmth
Just a little longer...until I'm stronger...

High at Dawn

Out there, frost melts under the spell of the sun
In here, you've cast a similar incantation
With your beautifully picked words
Weaved more tastefully into narration

And as dawn takes over from the night
An insatiable want, for more, surfaces from somewhere inside
I draw a kiss, and then, some more
Give into impulse, it's a thing I cannot hide

A slow, synchronized dance of two souls
Meshing entrancingly, moulding into a whole
And then, again, I lose my powers to you
Controlled by you, each time you cajole

Diving In

The cold, damp wave breaks my peace
Fingers rummage through layers of woven sheets
No trace of you, coerces my lids to open
Neither a note left behind, nor a word spoken

Wrapped in mink, belted with arms so numb
Barely able to step, but to my thirst, I succumb
I trace you, seated by the pane, on moist mahogany,
Soaking into the beauty of dawn

A sigh tells me I'm home again
At peace, to have you near
An about-face and I have your attention
Your bass voice...echoes loud and clear

I lose guard, give in to instinct
Taking a part of you, sharing more
As I let your hands paint a million emotions
On my canvas...from bare to sore
