Is it a sin?

We live in a world that talks of love
A world that can feel none
Sweet little words to utter
But nothing's sweet inside anyone


Here, if you feel love
They shall mock you
For here, love's unknown
If anyone feels...it's very few


Is it a sin that I see
A little beyond I'm shown?
Is it wrong to feel
And feel it alone?


How does the beauty of love die
If it is not returned?
Why should we taint its virginity
In striving for it to be earned?


Why can't love be given here
And cherished there?
Why not let it be simple
And let it remain fair?
