Pieces

Doors were about to shut
But break, he must, and he did
Charging into those empty halls
Flavouring the air with sweet melodies

He breathed life
Into her dying heart
He pumped a flood of love
Saved a mortal soul

Nurtured a huge garden
Of thornless roses
Built a mansion
Of joy and hope

Then came a tide of doubts
A time caused tornado
The mansion collapsed
The roses withered

A bleeding heart
A longing soul
Broken pieces she holds
Eyes gone dry, sore

She loves him still
He does too, she knows
If only, mending happened
Alone through hope

You're more than just one dance

Bodies move across the room
But our eyes never cease to meet
"Stop teasing me with that smirk", I assert, "come make me bloom"
I try, but fail to lose control, as I draw closer, accepting defeat

Cast under your spell, I stand helpless, trembling, longing
For you to play your magic on me
Barely a touch and my heart starts singing
But this game you play feels like eternity

I feel like I'm standing naked in cold, pouring rain
As I crave for your warmth, come wrap me in your arms
I draw closer, my lips desperate...but in vain
You wickedly enjoy the show as I'm puppet to your charms

And after what feels like a lifetime, holding my hand, you finally
bless my mouth with yours, drinking love from my lips, holding me close,
As I match rhythm with you, I wish this dance goes on eternally
For this means so much to me, for you're the one I chose

I wouldn't be so easy for another, and surely not so soon
But love, it is something about you that makes me
Lose myself, that makes me dance to your tune
Beyond flesh and bones, you mean more to me

Know that I danced with you today
But you've touched not only my body, you've caused my heart to blossom too
I mean this when I say, I hope for you to stay
Be my love, for a lifetime, will you?

Broken, but breathing

You were like the wind
So swiftly, you came and made place for yourself,
Rushing through the holes in my heart
Making me whole again

Crazy promises, you made
Ones I laughed at, "don't be silly", I said
But who knew, ever so silently
I'd fall without being aware

And before I could catch my breath
Shattered, I lay there
You're nowhere around, only pieces of me
Sit here, to give me company

Kissed by cold emptiness
I stutter, but I manage to stand
You hit me hard, but you were beautiful
And for that beauty, I'll open doors to love again...

Just Then

She was about to kiss him and tell him how much she loved him...
Just then, he broke it to her, how madly in love, he is with her sister.

He was about to walk up to her and ask her out...
Just then, came a man, held her by the waist, and they left.

She wanted him to know, she loved him more than just a best friend...
Just then, he said, "I've figured it out, I'm not into women. I'm gay."

He grabbed her and kissed her, knowing they were home alone, and she wanted it...
Just then, she instinctively slapped him, saying she doesn't feel that way.

She always said she wasn't in love. But today, she called him to confess, she was falling...
Just then, he told her, he got over her. He's found a new girlfriend.

She'll be his, in another lifetime

It started as a spark, when she saw him
She knew not, of how he'd kindle a fire
But burn she must, the hope must go dim
Because life's a joke, destiny's satire

She isn't in love, but he liquefies her heart
Sadly, the heart must turn to stone
For they have to stop, what barely did start
The need's to keep away. The want's to not leave him alone

Two torn hearts, two lost souls
Came together...found peace
Only to cause deeper wounds, bigger holes
An intense pain, which is so hard to ease...

Two different worlds, impossible to fit
Together, but she takes a vow this day
This lifetime may not allow a union,
But she'll be his, in another life, if be in agreement, the universe may...

Macy

Another dab of red on her lip
A final spray of fragrance
Baubles cuffing her dainty wrists
And a spring in her step

She steps out and steps into the car
Their eyes meet, a sparkle across one of her 32
He nods with a giggle, "Finally, the day has arrived..."
Zestful fingers turn the key, the engine revs up

And like always, she completes his sentence
With a bright one across her face
"Yes, the day we set each other free."
And together they burst

While little Macy and Phillip
Make promises, young in love
From afar, below the cliff,
They see light shine so bright, like fire burst

And perhaps, they were only firecrackers
Thinks Phillip, his innocent mind
Unable to tell a blast from a burst
But Macy knows, for she caused the brakes to fail

Those 15 Minutes

Their eyes met, as her key united with the lock
Cajoled by his gaze, she changed course
And as she followed command, two pairs of lips
Curved, his demeanour turned coarse

As the door banged shut, unease flooded her mind
But from her heart, these clouds did glide
That thundered lustful thoughts
Which she failed to hide

He pulled her high, onto her toes
Bent to draw some passion, from her lips
Surrender she did, with her heart and soul
And followed course, her arms and hips

Sandwiched between his chest and the wall
Her heart surpassed a tempo she had not known
He hushed her gasps with his pursing lips
Causing a rhyme of moans

But just then, the mind resurfaced
Unable to stand, but had to run
Kissed goodbye, headed to the window
"See you soon, you were fun!"
